We're supporting a fantastic independent trust company in Jersey with the recruitment of a Compliance Manager.

Having met with the Head of Compliance, it was clear this role is about much more than technical compliance expertise. The business is looking for an individual who can become a genuine operational partner, bringing ownership, judgement and practical support across a broad compliance remit.

The successful individual will provide hands-on support across a broad range of operational compliance responsibilities, including AML, KYC, client onboarding, due diligence, compliance monitoring, policy management and regulatory reviews.

The business is seeking someone who can quickly establish themselves as a trusted member of the team, bringing both technical expertise and practical judgement. The ability to balance regulatory expectations with commercial realities will be particularly valuable.

Key areas of focus are likely to include:

• Enhancing and maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP)

 • Supporting ongoing AML and financial crime obligations

 • Reviewing and updating policies and procedures

 • Managing client onboarding, CDD and EDD processes

 • Conducting compliance testing and monitoring activities

 • Managing regulatory registers, including complaints and PEPs

 • Supporting governance, risk and regulatory projects

 • Contributing to the continued development of the compliance framework

• Previous compliance experience within the trust, corporate or wider financial services sector

• A strong understanding of Jersey regulatory requirements and AML obligations

• Experience in compliance monitoring, risk assessment and regulatory reporting
