We are looking for somebody to work as part of a small accounts team based out of town. This is a unique opportunity to work with the Jersey office of  an established global business. They are a niche specialised provider supplying equipment to strategically targeted users, markets and regions.  The company serves a variety of markets including shipping lines, transport and logistic, rail and chemical manufacturers.

The Finance and Accounting department forms a vital link between the company’s customers, suppliers, and the financial objectives of the organisation. The department works closely with Senior Management and its global sales and

operations teams on a daily basis. The department maintains primary responsibility for ensuring the companies accounts are kept up to date in conjunction with international accounting and reporting standards (IFRS), and is closely

involved in developing procedures and processes. It also maintains the company’s Treasury and Credit processes to ensure the cash management and collections strategies accurately reflect the company’s targets and considerations.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Assisting with the preparation of annual Financial Statements for various Group entities
  • Help produce monthly & quarterly Management Reports with commentary and analysis
  • Support the compilation of the Annual Group Budget and forward looking Business plan
  • Manage the daily/monthly Cash Flow Reporting
  • Help perform key Financial Analysis on the Groups performance e.g. KPI’s
  • Assist in the monthly/quarterly investor reporting e.g. distributions and fee calculations
  • Tax – assist with the preparation and filing all UK & Irish tax requirements such as VAT returns, PAYE,
  • corporation tax
  • Audit – help respond to any audit queries, resolve issues, and produce reports/documents as necessary
  • Procedures – maintain, update & develop all relevant procedures and guidelines with a view to improving
  • where possible the efficiency without removing necessary controls
  • Credit/Collections - oversee collections and credit control process of issuing statements, chasing customers,
  • disputes

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience
  • Advanced analytical & modelling skills
  • Advanced Microsoft excel
  • IFRS reporting experience
  • Experience with Sage or similar software
  • Experience/knowledge of leasing business but not essential
