Our client is a leading legal firm with offices in major jurisdictions. They are looking for a person to fulfil the roles of MLRO and MLCO for the Jersey Law Firm, as required under Jersey legislation, and to support the Group Head of Compliance in ensuring that all jurisdictions comply with the firm's compliance and AML policies and procedures and that training is provided as required.
Some key responsibilities:
To receive internal Suspicious Activity Reports ('SAR's), review and externalise to the JFCU if appropriate
To take responsibility for undertaking the Compliance Monitoring Programme, conflict and sanctions checks for all jurisdictions
To recommend amendments to systems and controls when necessary e.g. an additional Compliance Monitoring Programme test due to a new regulatory requirement
To contribute to the reporting of Management Information reporting e.g. to Risk Committee and Strategy Board
To attend occasional Risk Committees as proxy for the Director of Compliance when required
The successful person will have 5 years plus experience in the compliance field.
