Our client is an award winning multi jurisdictional legal firm who is looking for an IT Systems Administrator. You will assist with the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for the groups’ server infrastructure. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. Investigates and analyses feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. The role is broadly split between providing day to day operational support for existing infrastructure services and users of those services, and project based work leading to the development and deployment of new infrastructure and application services. Support & Maintenance of Group IT Infrastructure. Diagnose System Problems. Design and Implement Solutions. Communicate Issues and Changes. Identify Opportunities for Improvement. Provide Support and Guidance for Service Desk Team. 5 years’ previous experience in an IT support role in a legal setting or other professional environment. A good educational background and ideally a recognised Microsoft certification or similar is desirable but not essential. An in-depth working knowledge of the following technologies is preferred: Citrix, VMWare, Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Server Operating Systems, Storage Area Networking (SAN), Microsoft Office, FileSite/iManager, Video Conferencing, Cisco Telephony, Cisco Networking and a good knowledge of relevant legislation and exposure to ITIL.
There is a team of 8 or 9 across the group, you will be working on IT infrastructure and applications related projects together with day to day operational support for existing IT infrastructure.
