Our client is a major award winning leading name in Private Banking. They are growing and require a Relationship Manager for Trust & Corporate Lending. This role has responsibility, in conjunction with the wider Trust & Corporate Team (the ‘Team’) for proactively sourcing and completing new lending opportunities in more than one jurisdiction. Together with effective oversight of the existing Trust and Corporate sector loan book. The role is also expected to contribute to the development of the Team’s lending proposition and the delivery of such against agreed targets. This may include, but not limited to, real estate finance, gearing against investment portfolios and more structured lending such as balance sheet finance or corporate lending.

Originating new lending opportunities from existing and target clients. Including an ‘origination strategy’ to grow the existing lending book in these jurisdictions against agreed targets and initiating contact with key clients & prospects at all levels,  Considering new lending enquiries together with completing credit application proposals and presenting such to the Bank’s Credit Committee. This will involve inter alia, the assessment of risk and pricing, negotiating with the client and ultimately structuring appropriately within the Credit Risk Appetite policy. Responsibility for the effective oversight of the existing loan portfolio including inter alia, ensuring all conditions and covenants continue to be met during the loan term.

Proactive and effective oversight of expiring loan facilities. You will need to have a proven track record in sales, business development and relationship management, be self motivated, driven and goal orientated with the ability to self-initiate follow-up sales activity, experience and knowledge in risk assessing and structuring of lending propositions in order to create lending solutions to satisfy the clients requirements.
