Our client is a leading company within the financial services industry globally. They are looking for a Business Development / Commercial Director. The Commercial Director’s responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve growth targets for the Jersey cluster and throughout the Group. The Commercial Director’s duties will include achieving annual growth targets, delivering a key feeder development plan and understanding general industry trends. In this transversal role the Commercial Director will work closely with the Managing Director, Senior Leadership Team and the Group Chief Commercial Officer (‘GCCO’) to achieve revenue growth in-line with growth targets. The role reports to the MD Jersey for line management and HR related matters and has a dotted line into the GCCO for sales performance and BD matters.
Developing growth strategy, tactics, sales plans and key intermediary plans. Developing relationships with prospects and key clients. Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets. Representing the business at conferences and networking events. Maximising new business development opportunities. Providing thought leadership through presentations and articles. Providing market feedback to the Managing Director, Senior Leadership Team and Group Management Board regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generating product development ideas. Taking ownership of the sales targets.
