Our client is a small company tasked with management of a medium size property investment portfolio, and in addition, a number of companies that are owned by one client, a Charitable Trust. This is a niche role because they aren’t necessarily looking for a qualified/part qualified accountant more important to them is that you are qualified by experience.  The successful candidate will form part of a small team of five, it is key that you are a team player and are happy to role up your sleeves and pull together.  The Charitable Trust is involved with Acorn, JSPCA, Schools and more. This is really a fantastic opportunity to be involved with a company that gives back to our community.

The person will need to have experience of: 

Maintaining accurate computer records on the property management and nominal ledger software. Be able to produce draft annual accounts for all companies and the Charitable Trust. Provide management accounts and cash flows. Maintain all bank accounts and ensure sufficient funds are available to meet payments. Liaise annually with the auditors in order to ensure accurate accounts are made available after the year end. Deal with any issues in relation to bank accounts, including FATCA and any other requirements. Oversee the recharge for rentals of residential and commercial tenants together with any other sums recoverable. Produce, certify and review service charge accounts for those properties to which services apply. Liaise with sub-agents in Guernsey in relation to Guernsey Property Portfolio. Maintain secretarial records. Maintain accurate records in the course of any refurbishment / development of group properties. Compile schedules of GST. Generally oversee the running of the accountancy aspect of the office in conjunction with the property manager.

The hours are fixed at 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. There is a private parking space available.
